This National Tree Day we will be restoring a creek system in Little Burra
Cooke Drive, Googong NSW 2620Description
This National Tree Day we will be restoring a creek system in Little Burra, just south of Canberra.
This is a great opportunity to help prevent erosion, restore habitat for native birds and animals and enhance water quality in the Jerrabomberra Creek Catchment, upstream of Jerrabomberra Wetlands.
Greening Australia will be leading this event, together with the Little Burra Community Association, through the Rivers Of Carbon project.
GA are very excited to launch a new partnership on the day with Evoenergy, who are supporting National Tree Day in 2018, as well as launching a Community Tree Fund for the ACT Region.
When: Sunday 29 July 2018, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm, followed by a free lunch.
What to expect? A lovely morning planting, with no experience required, a free lunch, and a portaloo! The site has uneven terrain, and will involve some walking between planting areas. There will be an opportunity for a bird walk from ornithologist Nicki Taws during lunch.

Free bus departs:
